We suggest you a one week stay in the ancient town of Cortona, which has become even more famous thanks to Frances Meyers’ book “Under The Tuscan Sky”, from where you can go off to see the Tuscan sights of arts, landscape and architecture.
You will go on a tour to Siena and in Val d’Orcia lead for the whole day by one of our professional guides and on another one to Arezzo and Sansepolcro to visit the towns and admire the “Route of the True Cross”, Piero della Francesca’s work.
In Cortona we will book the entrance to one of the most important Etruscan museums of Tuscany, the Maec. We await you!

The Cortonaantiquaria in Cortona is the oldest antique fair in Italy and one of the most renowned antique markets all over the world. More than forty selected antique dealers come from all over Italy to display paintings, sculptures, ceramics,prints, engravings, tapestry, arms in the 18th-century halls of Palazzo Vagnotti. Thanks to ts quality and setting, as well as the organizers reliability and the vocation of this town, this is one of the most important and aprreciated expositions one knows. Entry to the show is through Piazza Franciolini. There is an entrance fee.


MAEC
The Museum of the Etruscan Academy and of the City of Cortona.
The new Museum of the Etruscan Academy and of the City of Cortona is an essential leg to discover Cortona. The museum joins the historical Etruscan Academy Museum and the Museum of the Etruscan and Roman City of Cortona in a single exibition. It has its seat in Palazzo Casali, one of the oldest buildings in town, where extraordinary masterpiece of the Etruscan civilization are displayed in an exibition area of more than 2000 square metres. Om the top floors of the Museum one can admire the ancient collections of the Etruscan Academy which some up the fortune of Etruscology and eighteenth-andnineteenth-century collecting with the mazing Etruscan lamp, the small bronzes, the Egyptian collection and the eighteenth century library.
On the ground floor, in the new exibition area, one can find the largest archeological finfs telling the history of the Etruscan and Roman Settlements in the region: the bronze works of art coming fromTrestina and Febrecce, the funerary equipment of the tombs of the Cortona plain, the famous Tabula Cortonensis and the remains of the Roman Villa Ossaia.
